I have some more left for another time. Edam or cheddar on them?

Cheddar, the more mature the better.

The trick is to grate it finely on top of the ketchup and mustard so when you go to squeeze the whole contraption so that it fits into your mouth you actually merge the three dressings into one gooey topping.

Crispy onions, in hindsight, would be a big plus in this type of scenario.

It will get messy, so have kitchen towel nearby.

I'm having a Carlsberg now trying to stay awake. My friend called round and I had a big red head on me from tiredness. Not the best company right now

The Rockshore light isn't bad. Must try the regular stuff too. It's not strong tasting easy to drink

Toast with... well, my shopping went astray this week and the person who then redid the order was not very literate! So they sent WHITE SLICED bread, and for BUTTER? Some kind of... spread.. I think they had run out of wholemeal so they added an Irish soda brown which is in the freezer now.

I had forgotten how ….. even marmalade and honey are in vain against white sliced yukk . with.. spread...

They couldn't do the job if they weren't literate. They go by what's available on the day. I don't eat white bread either it sticks inside me.

There are degrees and nuances of literacy, A year ago I would have agreed with you but not any more. I have trained the assistant who usually "picks and packs" my order but this was a different person. eg BUTTER? Always available, so he uses some yucky spread? Calls it butter? I get it. But as I said, literacy has edges.

Small deep rural supermarkets with local folk are blessedly different! With my usual lovely assistant I write " no alternative" if there is doubt. She used to send cases of dog food when I had asked for cat food ...lol....

Partly old age and this illness but I now cannot even stand pepper on food. Nor any spice etc; a little salt is all. The only herb I can enjoy is sage in stuffing

My eyes are revolving reading this thread.Shuddering and I have had to abandon the food forum eg the " What did you have for dinner" thread, as "small baked potato with a little mild grated Cheddar" does not fit the ethos. lol...

It is about being happy with what you eat? I am totally happy with the simplicity of mine. As you are with yours.

Fair enough. I find Tesco online shopping does a better job than Supervalu but have only ordered from Supervalu once and they made a fair few mistakes, I was in isolation so glad of the food and the few drinks nonetheless. The one thing I like about Supervalu is the cut cold meats, very nice for sandwiches and better than the packet stuff.

4 scoops of heavy Greek yoghurt flaked with low fat Alpen, blueberries and marzipan shavings. A trickle of maple syrup on top.

2 slices of toasted brown bread with organic strawberry and cinnamon jam, both homemade.

Washed down with 2 freshly ground cups of Arabian coffee with a tiny splash of milk.

    Contemplating lunch.

And in complete contrast to your healthy breakfast, I had a fry up for one. Toast and OJ with it.

It looks perfectly healthy. I have a fry at least once a week.

I hope you are mixing the beans with slices of fried egg and black pudding when chewing?

Disappointing however to not see toasted soldiers on the side, essential for wiping that white porcelain clean after. Enjoy.

2 x freshly baked croissants (purchased in local bakery). Halved and filled with cold mayonnaise, Black Forest German smoked ham, preserved sun dried tomatoes with pickled capers. No condiment. Washed down with a small glass of chilled ( almost freezing cold ) TK white lemonade.

A single Twirl finger and a smooth cup of very strong freshly ground coffee.

I carry hot sauce in my handbag. People sometimes get offended when I take it out but it's not personal at all, I'm genuinely hooked on the stuff and think it enhances most dishes.

Twas a delicious brunch washed down with a tequila and lemon juice.

This evening will be homemade linguine with a sweet ass malbec. Love making fresh pasta whilst listening to Sinatra.

It's actually the extra hot one:)

I just realized I posted a picture of empty Temple Bar earlier instead of my brunch too!

Here's a picture of my hot sauce collection at the moment... anyone else on here a hot sauce addict and if so, any recommendations?!

Part boiled and steamed Irish White new Tudor style potatoes. Trounced in butter and crushed sea salt. Accompanied with boiled roughly chopped fresh carrot and steamed broccoli coated in a mild cheddar sauce, peppered.

A roughly 10oz cut of sirloin purchased in a butchers in Co. Wicklow, fried on a burning hot pan for 7 minutes, with translucent fried shallots lightly sprinkled with dry brown sugar.

I had a frustrating afternoon so I washed all down with a 2017 Clos des Papes Chateauneuf-du-Pape that I received as a Christmas present last year. I still have a half bottle left and am contemplating opening a second.

I am fantasising about attending a dinner party with Michael Portillo, Joanna Lumley, John McEnroe, Madonna and Cameron Diaz.

Encona Hot Pepper Sauce. Love it for extra heat. Most Supermarkets stock it. However the extra hot version can be harder to come by. I found it in Lidl a few times. It's rocket fuel from the heat gods.:D

Suppin' on a beer. Girls fed and mine is boxed off for later. Roast Loin of Pork, Mash, Peas and Carrots. No gravy or apple sauce for me. I have some Spice of Life creamy pepper sauce for over the Pork. I'm feeling the unintentional Iiony of Porklife inspiring the unconventional spice over my dinner.

I got the BBQ pork in Aldi, but didn't realise it's precooked. It's OK I guess, just feel a bit guilty for eating cheaply reared piggies.

Is there anywhere that sells pastry bases for quiche?

I just am not confident with the baking and my oven is a car crash.

The rest is just like making an omelette?

3 cup sized Irish home made crumpets topped with poached hens egg and coated in a freshly made Hollandaise. The Hollandaise was lightly infused with paprika, Cayenne dried pepper powder and mild white wine vinegar, heavily salted.

6 x slices of heavily grilled streaky Basque bacon, pre-marinated over night in a Balsamic dressing.

Freshly squeezed Orange and Lime Juice.

A pot of Earl Grey Tea.

Venison marinated and then roasted in the soya sauce, red wine, garlic, wholegrain mustard and blackberries. Potatoes from the airfryer and a glass of red.

Adding the blackberries was an experiment that went down well and will be repeated.
