Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Started the turkey at 10, made a trivet with a load of veg, some of the offal. Made a huge herb butter which i packed under the skin around the breast and last bit coating the skin. Basteing every 30 minutes. Rested for an hour.
Gravy with the trivet and turkey jus,
Braised red cabbage in red wine, cinnamon, sugar and red wine vinegar,
    Honey glazed carrots and parsnips
    Garlic infused mash,
Duck fat goose Roasties, which got some fresh thyme and parsley added the last 15 of cooking.

Went down an absolute treat, as all the family come back to the home house, 80 oercent of people are passed out.

Having a double vodka white while me and the older brother reminesce in some old school street fighter games on the snes mini.

    Merry Christmas

There's a wedge of Christmas pudding wrapped in tin foil that is waiting to be gently heated before being served with cream.

One wedge sent from west Cork like it is every year. It was made with poitín and I mean this thing is not to be taken lightly.

No one else in the house likes it so I shall eat it all myself, like I do every year. And I'll have an Irish coffee with it, because it's Christmas.

And then I'll probably conk out on the couch.

I've tried to eliminate sugar from my diet, especially with the coffee, but I just can't eat porridge without honey mmm...

Porridge without honey is sacrilegious and beer doesn't count, especially during the holidays :3

LOL - why was the pizza bad?

Got a Christmas pint in the local and had two more.

Coming up soon is homemade chips and cheese with gravy, cold turkey and thinly sliced spiced beef for myself, turkey enchiladas and chips for the rest of my crew. It's Christmas times so another drink is called for, a cold Erdinger Dunkel in a large narrow glass to get the ball rolling.
