Hi
Can someone recommend a professional in the Louth / Dublin area?

I am looking for advise on tax credits,tax sharing between myself and partner.I would also like more info on Children's tax credit. At the minute I am paying tax as a Single with no children..

Some summary points:

* Marriage and 'cohabitation' are treated differently for tax purposes. There is a more favourable tax treatment if married.
* If married and both working, in general it is best to go for 'joint assessment'. It only really makes a difference in terms of sharing tax bands if one person is earning below €34550 and one above.
* If married and 1 person is staying at home, a tax credit is available for the earner called the 'home carer credit'. It's worth €1200 a year in tax saving.

I genuinely wouldnt know where to go to apply for the credits, would like someone to do it / help Me (if it must be me)
