€600 and €1000 builds

1. What is your budget? [€600/900]

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming, Photo editing (light/amateur)
Gaming - Total War: Warhammer. Some First person shooters, mainly RTS though

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [No]

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No old parts

5. Do you need a monitor? No

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? May need a decent keyboard and mouse but don't want to eat into the overall budget

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes, but not a deal breaker

I'm thinking a Ryzen build with an RX580 but some googling suggests a 1060 might be better ?
Want to avoid older parts so there is a decent upgrade path in the future

I've two budgets to get an idea of what can be built for those prices
If I can max settings at 1080p for €600 super, if not I can go higher

They're very similar to what I priced up myself.

Is there anyway to shave the cost and maybe drop settings down to high and still hit around 60FPS ?

With a view to upgrade in the future

Drop RAM to 1x8Gb DDR4-2666/3000 & remove the Cryorig H7 cooler - drops price by €110.

No point in going for a lower-grade GPU like RX 570/GTX 1060 3Gb - the EVGA bundle is cheaper than separate GPU + PSU.
*edit*: plus you get 9-year warranty on the PSU this way.
GTX 1050 Ti will not hit 60fps at High settings.

They're about equal in game performance, only reason to get RX580 is if you're planning to also buy a FreeSync monitor.

But the total cost goes up once you buy separate GPU + PSU.

Yeah I seen that deal.
I'm not sure when this build will go ahead so i just wanted to check what I was specing without considering current bundle deals etc

I see the 1060 and the 580 are close enough in price so I'll keep that in mind

Won't work, most Dell PC's now use non-standard PSU's again, so a 1050Ti would be as good as it gets for that PC for now.
