Have my S7 (unlocked and bought in CEX) since last Xmas. Battery usage is a lot. I have just left home with 100% and 30 minutes of drive to work, the battery has dropped to 92%.

    Is that normal?

I've had mine since May 2017 (16 months) and the battery life is dire.

From 100% overnight to about 40% after about 2 hours (mostly browsing and podcasts, some Netflix/YouTube).

That's with screen brightness about half and power saving mode on.

Charge it fully at work and then it's struggling again by the evening.

Got it for the wifi cling but won't be going Samsung again

Do a factory reset, only install your essential apps, then monitor your battery life for a few days. Most likely it's an app causing the drain.

Depends if you have any apps running when you're driving. In reality, you should only be losing a couple of percent an hour when the phone isn't being used.

I was expecting better battery usage when the phone upgrade to Oreo, but no.

Would a factory reset loose game data?

    That depends.
If the game data is saved locally on the phones then yes it'll be lost.
However if it's stored in the cloud then it shouldn't be lost .
