Lads rubbing pictures on a box with a relic of a 24-yr-old.

I'll never understand that kind of nonsense.

  • Registered Users Posts: 721 ✭✭✭Defaulter1831

One always has to declare that one is not very religious these times. Atheist is best, agnostic good, believing in “something” acceptable, belonging to a particular religious faith no-no.

Spot on. Una had to make sure and say 'i'm not religious'. Same in the office. No one would say, yes I'm religious and practising.

Saying you're spiritual is all the rage.. kinda New Age like.

Parents never really get over the death of a child, whatever age they are. Not that I know, but from talking to people who lost their child.

Yes he was their only child too.

Bizarrely, whilst we were being subjected to this song throughout the whole of summer 1994 (15 weeks at number one!!) you had 'Riverdance' by Bill Whelan at the top for even longer! :D

    That is so sad.

Have you been listening to his show for the last few years.

    If it's not porridge it's Catholicism/religion.

I don't listen to his shows. I'd be working.

    I possibly would.

But a lot of people who did were not terminally ill.

Has WW not been subsumed into the Indo?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

WW news can be very good but This does not work on tv. Canned laughter would'nt even have time for it.

    I laughed.

Not as funny as this though:

Of course. But it's carried down through generations. And if you believe a saint's body incorruptible you'd believe anything touched that body may have powers.

A lot of people believe in Homeopathy too!

WWN is a funny website, but this didn't quite work on TV.

Especially the awkwardness of about 3 people laughing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,676 ✭✭✭✭Alf Veedersane

    Well...that was awful.

Truthfully, watching paint dry, the paint you applied, is rewarding. More so with a good bit of radio going on the background.

Could Amy not write a script for a new show about a woman who stars in various RTE shows and is married to a former Irish Rugby star, it just might work.

Great for the girl to win her case and get her course.

But too much is being made of the case..prime time top 3 news story for 2 days.

What if she drops out? Nothing achieved yet. And if she's a vet working long hours with big animals she might decide it's not for her.

Good for her to highlight poor marking but it's a pretty minor story nationally.

Bill Badbody. Had a giggle at that

    Cringe.

Fair play to her, I do love it when the underdog wins, she was up against it and took them out.

I do remember RTE trying a satirical news show about a decade ago, it was pretty awful, the WWN bit wasn't that bad at least.

One man's nonsense is another's truth.

It's turned into her as much as the system. Are you watching? About her boyfriend.

My friend in work completely fell for the ‘schools fundrauding by forcing kids to make 10000s of Bridgets crosses’ was so funny . She’d us all told before we copped it.
