    They didn't make Almera's in 2010!

It really annoys me a few weeks ago they had Eoin infront of his taxi and it was a Primera with a 2014 Reg plate , I doubt they do any research at all.

    Maybe I'm being pedantic :pac::pac::pac:

    Your not.
I honestly believe they are just sloppy or are getting second hand Nissan's on sale.
Erica won an overpriced 2000 Micra also.

Johnny Green reminds me of Mr. Honk. He was a character in a Noddy story who drove a taxi and stole Noddy's fares while his car was being mended,

How did Pete and Jackie not see that fruit loop at the door
And why did it take Rennie all the way the pub to ask her that, this show proves why RTÉ are loising money hand over fist

    Thursday 27th June
Heather is vilified for her actions, Hughie demands the truth and Jackie pushes Pete for an answer. The tense atmosphere ruins Fiona's dinner party with Jane and Tommy.
    Sunday 30th June
As Hughie hopes the honeymoon will heal the rift, Jackie comes to a shocking decision. Jane conspires with Melanie against Fiona, and Carol is caught between Eoghan and Johnny.
    Tuesday 2nd July
Hughie comes under pressure from both Doug and Pete. Jane uses the information she has about Fiona and assumes she has gained the upper hand. Pete tries to placate Dolores.
    Wednesday 3rd July
Alarm bells ring when Heather wants to move in with Hughie, Paul and Fiona start their game to trap Jane, and Pete struggles to stay silent when Dolores criticises Jackie.
    Thursday 4th July
Paul and Fiona spring their trap on Jane, while Hughie risks spending time alone with Heather. Tension simmers between Pete and Dolores over Jackie. Dean has his eye on Tessa.

Only if they relocate the church to the community centre.

Did not watch it much now but I understand from before isn't this Hughie and also Jackie divorced and Catholic? I may be wrong but I understand divorcees cannot marry in a Catholic church? And most of these soap characters are all in complicated relationships that go far beyond normal marriages and divorces and never normal!!

Yeah both Hughie & Jackie are both divorcees so can't marry in a church.

Were Kevin (Hughie's Son) and Neil (Jackie's Son) not invited?

Jackie and Pete could be COI. He played the Rev George Black in Glenroe once upon a time............

Natalie, Hughie's first wife, is dead so he could get married in a church.

I thought they divorced before Natalie died?

Regardless, it's obvious RTE don't have the budget and/or desire any more to film massive weddings. The last really big wedding, I think it was the double wedding of Robbie & Carol and Decco & Kerrie-Ann.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,305 ✭✭✭✭branie2

In the eyes of the church, Hughie and Natalie were still married.

There was something mentioned about Neil doing a course of some kind, I can't remember the specifics but there was an excuse for him missing it. Not sure if Kevin was mentioned. Honestly if they never mention Kevin again I won't mind.

I think Hughie could get married in a church if he wanted.
Not even a mention of them.:)

A huge wedding party held in Hughies sitting room.

Wouldn't you have thought they would have went to a fancy resturant

I thought the christening of Decco and Kerri Ann's daughter in their front room was the most ridiculous example of their limited number of sets, followed by the cramped community centre wedding of Bob and Renee, but that wedding reception tonight definitely tops both.

I did get a laugh out of two episodes worth of Carol getting ready for it and strutting around with her new hairdo only to miss the entire thing!

Isn't Jackie supposed to be an events organiser at the hotel? The idea she would hold her wedding reception in that horrible tiny living room is laughable.

Fair City is missing a character similar to Eunice, she'd put Hughie, Renee, Bob, Ellie, Jackie and Heather in there place!

RIP Chas.. remember him throwing a drink on Paul Brennan in the very first episode (not that it put a stop to his philandering ways)

Wonder if they'll mark his death on the programme..

His early character was interesting going by the clips we sometimes see. A gruff, working class Dub, a no nonsense type.

If I remember correctly he was a bit work shy and may even have been on the dole or did he lose his job when the factory burned down? Memory a bit hazy..
He lost his working class Dub persona when Paddy Clarke left..
