I thought Caoimhe was a tad harsh about Jane.
She has being fairly decent to her siblings.

Why could Caoimhe not stay in The Pod or rent Hayley's flat?

The three bedrooms must be full.

Speaking of the Pod - I wonder who's running it since Jackie fled.

There's a program on RTE one now set in a hair dressers and they are a few people from Fair City on it. Farrah is getting her routes done!

What’s the name of that show?

There's a thing in the RTE Guide about the top 30 moments selected by viewers.(I take it's in no particular order).
    1. Damien abused by Suzannne.(2010)
    2. Katy Kidnapped by Ciaran. (2016)
    3. Helen leaves mike to run off with Paul. (1997)
    4. Dolores' daughter, Jessica, swallows a tablet and dies. (2005)
    5. Kerri-Ann is stabbed to death by Aoife.
    6. Charlotte kills Paddy Bishop. (2013)
    7. Carol and Robbie gets married. (2016)
    8. Billy Meehan is clubbed to death by Lorcan. (2001)
    9. Helen dies in a car accident. (1998)
    10. Robbin admits she has bulimia. (2005)
    11. Niamh gets revenge on Paul by inviting his ex lovers to Christmas dinner. (2016)
    12. Jimmy Doyle and Lorraine Molloy get married. (2000)
    13. Heather shares an incestuous kiss with Floyd. (2008)
    14. Gina is killed on the way to her wedding. (2007)
    15. Mondo and Kira's teen pregnancy and the birth of Juliet. (2003)
    16. Orla's affair with Tommy. (2013)
    17. The death of Rita Doyle. (2013)
    18. Bob becomes homeless. (2010).
    19. Flyod's death. (2008)
    20. The scene where the photo of Lucy and Harry Molly is found. (2012)
    21. Kay and Malachy begin their relationship. (1998)
    22. Harry Kills Ross in a graveyard. (2005)
    23. Martie murders his wife Tess. (2008)
    24. Barry's affair with Niamh. (1996)
    25. The reveal of Karen's killer. (2018)
    26. Jackie's and Hughie's disastrous marriage. (2019)
    27. Yvonne is raped by an online predator, Martin. (2013)
    28. Trigger beats up his daughter on her wedding day. (2016)
    29. Orla and Wayne's surrogacy woes. (2019)
    30. Paddy Bishops return. (2013).

Some of the years are wrong in my opinion. Marty killed Tess in about 2003 and Heather and Flyod kissed in about 2003 as well I'd say.
There's also a few things they could have put together and things they left off.

    Some good stories there tough!

Great memories there, yes Marty killed Tess much earlier, I'd have said 2002, that was the big storyline when I started watching FC.

Marty killing Tess was definitely 2003.

Was Lucy having an affair with Harry, what was her story again :o:confused:

I thought Harry's affair with Shelley was pretty shocking at the time, Harry a cheat

The reveal of Karen's killer and aftermath was stupid as was the end to Niamh's "plan"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,977 ✭✭✭NewbridgeIR

    Other highlights
Barry killing Sarah and the subsequent involvement with Denzo was good.
    Bela's early affairs (Linda, Cliona)
    Ashti the ludicrous Kurdish refugee
    Dodgy Doctor Jack Shanahan
Racist Pete, Morgan and the ODENZES

Yes, that was a great storyline and they took their time with it. A seeming lovely and charming girl who turns out to have a dark side and to be mentally unstable.

Another Bela moment was him winning £500 on a scratchcard near Christmas 1996 when he hadn't a penny left to buy his kids presents.

Bela was quite an interesting character years ago but now is a boring old moan. I wonder why he has stayed on the show considering Jim Bartley's health problems and the fact that all of Bela's kids have moved abroad.

In the Guide there showing a few old covers including the one where Ross and Sorcha were sleeping together. I was in the early years of secondary school at the time and from what I remember everybody was talking about it.

I thought Caoimhe was supposed to be studying medicine? Wasn't that one of the reasons she and Damian broke up? Now there isn't a mention of it. Also, her clothes look really dowdy; they've completely changed her style.

But, I have to say the FC crew did an excellent, innovative job when casting Saoirse - first time in the history of TV that an invisible person has played a role! :P

It was voted by the viewers. So the story that won overall was the damien abuse story which is fair enough.

Nice to see some of the old crew back. Debbie is looking well, Rose is playing a blinder. Hard to watch for anyone that has a loved one in a similar situation.

She was going out with Wayne, then started claiming that she had a cornea transplant and the donor had been Wayne's baby sister that died, then there was the claim she had an affair with harry molloy.
Like someone said it was a slow burner and wasnt the usual predictable storyline

Shocked that the gay kiss between Eoghan and Liam in 1996 is not in that top 30 moments list. Its often noted as a breakthrough point in Irish television down through the years. As a nation we were not quiet ready for it at the time and it caused a bit of controversy at the time as I recall.

The Frank and Dolores affair used to have a novelty factor. They used to be getting up to no good when Harry was practically in the next room. As I recall Bull Island used to do a sketch on it.

Definitely Marty killed Tess around 2002 or 2003. It was one of the stories to follow up the Billy Meehan ones. Heather and Floyd would have kissed originally around 2003 too but met up with him again in 2008 before Floyd's death.

I have a fondness for the Tommy and the cameras storyline, and the siege.
