Hi, I'm getting new back door fitted, replacing sliding patio with french doors. The sensor is "RF Contact w/Shock". Just wondering if this will be okay for french doors and does anybody have fitting instructions.
I would guess put magnet on master door and sensor on slave door.  One possible issue is master door edge is beveled and in order to keep sensor on a flat surface it would be approx 1cm from magnet. Is this too far ?

Are we talking wired or wireless?
If wired the sensor should go on the frame & the magnet aligned up on the opening.
The hardest part of the fitting would be the wiring. Instructing you on this would be based on the configuration in place already.
Can you post a pic of existing sensor/wiring?

Heres some information on the slimline ones..

Good news is its wireless. How far from sensor can magnet be? Does the orientation of the magnet matter?

In that case in the centre where the doors meet.
Once they are aligned level the gap should be OK. Test before you drill them up.
