I need to cut a straight line with a Jigsaw

I have a corded circualar saw , which I know is ideal for straight lines

However because of where the cutting needs to be done, would prefer to use my cordless jigsaw

I have an strong steel straight edge, which I will clamp to the material

The material I need to cut is softwood pressure treated shiplap

the shiplap is approx 20mm thick

Should I use a short or long Jigsaw blade
what setting should I choose ; Pendulum setting
