As Susan Cain said in her book Quiet:

"That noxious expression that fails to appreciate that some animals naturally carry a shelter with them wherever they go and that some humans are just the same."

Absolutely! I wasn't one for "joining in" at school, very happy to be left alone with a book.

Arsenal winning tonight. Himself is an Arsenal fanatic, I'm Chelsea to the core. I love him madly, but I hate them with a passion. Is that grounds for divorce? :pac:

Don't like either team, but a Chelsea v Arsenal final would be epic. Although that divorce would be a helluva lot more likely

Rang my dentist today to see could I get an appointment with the hygienist in around two weeks.
Oh no, the hygienist is on holidays til July. You can try the middle street branch.
Ring the middle street branch, after some humming and searching for my name, she says “we’ll have to set up a profile for you”. i’ve been going to the same dentist for 15 years, it’s the same people 3 miles from each other, can they not access the same database!?

Then, she tells me the hygienist only works Wednesdays and there’s a month of a waiting list.
So one takes 3+ months holidays, the other does a bloody day a week!

I wouldn’t even blame the hygienists either, I think the owner is just being a tight git and not giving them days.

People constantly asking questions about what’s going on in a show/film that you’re watching. “F****d if I know Sharon. I can’t hear it over your incessant questioning!”

My absolute inability to go to sleep at a reasonable time this week. Next week I’m getting my shít together

Me too. Too much caffeine and not enough sleep . I'm spacing out in the middle of conversations (actual face to face ones , not like you can get away with not replying for 6 weeks like I do with text messages :D). Even though it's not every night I don't sleep .

TA Just signed into Facebook and it's still wall-to-wall Brexit.

Facebook is horrible. It is now 100% left wing love-in with all the "far right" people banned.

Less caffeine and more sleep! It's not good you know.

Two yanks in Dublin Airport yesterday evening, queuing up in the EU passport control line. "well we're not EU but I guess we'll que here" in that stupid twang.

First they came for the socialists...

On a nice quiet morning train and this man gets on and decides to whip out his laptop and start a conference call, talk about rude!

Coffee cups with handles so small you couldn't get a straw through them. Either give me a cup with a handle a human finger can fit through, or just put it in a bowl and be done with it.

Most people in my circle know my memory isn't good, so I dont understand how people get the hump when I dont recognise them out of context.
Do they think they are soo special that a brain that has all its lifespan has deleted or rejected actual important information will remember who they are just cause they go out of their way to draw attention to themselves?

Emailed an Ebay seller earlier this week.

"If I buy multiple items at the same time, will you ship them together in one envelope as Parcel Motel charge me €3.95 for each package?"

    "Yes, no problem"

End up just buying two items.

Get notified that they've been shipped separately.

    Reveal yourself, ya little bugger!

My lefty friends don't have half the sense of humour of my righty friends . They're the biggest conformists of all.

The preaching is well out of hand. Do we really need the political views of flower seed suppliers , dressmakers, musicians and writers ? I didn't follow them for this.

There's even virtue signalling on orange juice cartons/bottles now.

I lifted something fairly heavy with one hand from the bed onto the floor on Sunday and I suddenly felt my rib cage shift. My ribs have felt weird and sore since. TA'd that I'm always hurting myself like an eejit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,071 ✭✭✭Rosie Rant

    Double posts are annoying 😜

TA’d at myself, I stupidly tried to balance my cup of tea on my bed and was then shocked when the cup inevitably toppled and spilled all over the bed.

Also TA’d at having to change bed linen at this hour.

Why am I like this
