Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New build laminate flooring with beading or take off the skirting?

Hi, I got quotes for laminate flooring with beading (cheaper) or including removal and installation of new skirting, the house is new build, so I expect if the skirting comes off then paint cracks might appear if they don't do it tidily?

My concerns are beading won't look that great if we get it, (if we wanted to change it later would the whole laminate have to come up again?) or removing the skirting will damage the walls and need repainting.

Appreciate any insight if anyone's gone through this in their own place :)

Take the skirting off. Score the top of the skirting where it meets the wall with a utility knife. This will prevent paint cracking too much and the cut will be covered when the skirting is raised the thickness of the flooring.
