Apartment - Building Insurance ?

Hi I’m in the process of buying an appartmemt by means of a mortgage.
There is no management company in place which I assume means there is no block insurance either. According to my solicitor for many reasons I can get over the management company issue ( no areas of commonality etc) . But I’m worried about the bank and the insurance, as I seem only to be able to get contents insurance.

Is there anyway I can insure the building ?

I’d appreciate any advice !!

I’m desperate at this stage!

Is this an own door apartment?

Otherwise there'd have to be common areas.

Yes ceilingfly it is an own door apartment !

Then it's probably Duplex insurance or quasi apartment.

I had a couple in citywest years ago with someone else and we got insurance quite easily with Quinn. (now liberty)

An insurance broker will sort it out.
