Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Aonghus McAnally used to present a show on Radio 1 three nights a week "Both Sides Now" for Irish Emigrants in England.

It wasn't the worst thing in the world.

A 26 year hiatus and now Tubs is riding into town to bring RTE back to all them English Irish again.

It's going a little mad, Darts walk on girls fired, Boxing ring girls fired, it's not as if they were kidnapped from a poverty stricken country and exploited to work 24/7, poor girls careers destroyed.

Mock The Week can be hilarious, I've recently watched all of the ones on Netflix.

But jesus, it has the worst opening credit music ever. Is that an actual song?

Compared to the QI music, it's a poor, poor effort.

I think the last time I had a doughnut was when Super Quinn was still afloat.

    For shame, Donie

it's a single by The Jam, only of the few that Weller didn't sing along with David Watts.

See how Dara was making an interesting statement that this was the first year out of 14 years of Mock the Week that he enjoyed and Tubridy cut him off like a bank robber speeding from the police.

My nephew today mentioned Soundcloud during a conversation.

He then stopped his own sentence to explain to me that Soundcloud is a platform for people to share their own music.

    F*ckin young people.

Like if your audience ticket is a pair, do you get 2 prizes or 1?

What is that "Ehhhh" tic about though.
    It's unique.
It's like his Ba dum tsh cymbal, like a release.
    It is annoying tbh.

Edit: I'm in a bit of a harsh mood tonight.

In all seriousness, it's a comedy device to give you a second or two to gather your thoughts and plan your next line.

A lot of comedians do similar. Some look to one side, or sigh, or roll their eyes, or do a contrived laugh.

I had a feeling shame would follow when I posted that.

But I'm happy enough not to know things about Paul Weller.

    One prize per person

That's why the holidays are usually for one night, you're meant to combine it with your partners and make a weekend

No thought given to us singletons :(

He's just onto the next question immediately and doesn't seem to care about the answer. Surely that's an important thing, how much someone is enjoying what they're doing and why they think it's that way (according to him less elbows helps). I wonder though if some of that may be deference to someone who's become very likeable and also has a lot of power.
