Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got one put in as part of solution of issues with heating two years ago and said in two years or so need to change it

Pricing around and been told E170(minus some bottle of fluid that is meant to help circulation) to supply and fit one

Does it only last two years? I see six years on quick google

Is that around the average price?

    Thanks

Its working, but the installer said after two years you need to change it, another installer wants to put some safety value on it

From relation,s experience, you can expect => 6 years, you can do a very easy basic test yourself by removing the plastic end cap and pressing in (briefly) the
schrader valve with your finger nail, if air comes out its more than likely that its ok, if water comes out then it needs renewal, if no air or no water, then the system must be drained down and the vessel must be pre pressurised to ~ 1.0 to 1.5 Bar. If no air or water, or if water comes out you may find that the boiler safety valve has also been lifting and discharging water as there is no place for the expansion to go to.

That's great thanks, I'll check and see

It does not need to be changed. When your getting the boiler serviced annually, the pressure in the vessel can be tested.any yes they normally last alot longer than 6 years
