Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok, the rest is rubbish, but thats sweet, glad that that man got to meet Bosco when it clearly means so much to him and his family.

Ray is exactly the man you need in situations like this -

"Yeah(awkward inhalation of breath)... Yeah(awkward inhalation of breath)...Yeah...

Bosco’s voice reminds me of Marian Keyes

It’s only a cushion, not even a pillow for the bed.

I remember my parents bringing me to see Bosco at the Tivoli Theatre and I started crying and had a tantrum because Grainne, Frank and Marian weren't there.

    I was twenty-eight years old.

I understand that Bosco is an Irish institution, but my god - that voice was doing my head in after two minutes. :D

I was just thinking the same thing. I was watching Graham Norton and he was showing who was up next week, all A listers, so once it finished I put it on the RDS, and who had he got?! Bosco!!

I think I know now why my mother used to quickly leave the room whenever she heard that theme tune.

That's how he deals with everything.

I feel like I'm being a sh*t always bitching about him. I bear him no ill will, hope he has a long an happy life.

But as far as any sort of television presenter mangnetism is concerned, he's an absolute vacuum.

I almost bumped into her at a classic car show not that long ago, she is a tall lady with a huge presence.

I can feel the passive aggressiveness filtering through my tv!

    Flicked back from MOTD

"Ray, why do you wear the beard?"

    I like this lady.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,661 ✭✭✭✭Arghus

    He didn't like that.

In fairness it's a bit personal. How would she like it if he asked her why are you wearing that garish dress?

It is not that personal! The beard is hideous! He presents himself on this show and markets the show as easy going light entertainment yet he can't take a bit of a slag!

At least Tubridy can take a slagging without throwing a silent tantrum

Poll should have a third option: Brendan O'Connor

I feel **** about it too. I liked the Den when he was on, so it feels like a betrayal of a childhood friend to bad mouth him...though it was really Zig n Zag I was tight with. And of course there's always the argument that you can switch over...but its RTE, we are all taxed to the hilt for the likes of him. If TV3 were carrying him it would bother me far less.
