You made him angry Jermaine. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Wattimena has really stepped it up.
Might give Gary a scare here

Gary looks relaxed even when facing match darts in fairness

  • Registered Users Posts: 281 ✭✭norabattie

What a game. Thought Gary was a goner

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,009 ✭✭✭boomdocker

    Cracker

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,564 ✭✭✭dubrov

In fairness, Gary was put under huge pressure in that last set and produced the goods when it mattered.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,495 ✭✭✭Will I Am Not

Bit close for comfort there for Gary. Thought he was definitely gone at 2-0 down in the last set.

    Absolute belter. Great stuff

Wattimena also a gracious loser..cracking game.

Apart from a small few stinkers in the first round, this has been a top class world championships so far. Gary vs. Wattimena, Gurney vs. Lewis, Wilson vs. O’Connor, White vs. Peterson, Cross vs. de Zwaan, some highly entertaining matches there alone for one reason or another.

Really looking forward to Cross vs. Reyes and Lewis vs. Chizzy. MvG up next, we’re being spoilt! :D

Max was really caught on the hopp

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,564 ✭✭✭dubrov

    MVG seems pretty deflated.
He will probably stumble over the line but nowhere near his best, especially at big moments

Isn't this being broadcast on German TV?

Can't hurt a bit of marketing, a potential World Champion from Deutschland to a country with 80 million?

Making it out to be Rijkaard V Voller is a bit much but Barry Hearn is no mug.

Hopp looks decent to me - won the German Open in front of the home crowd this year, beat Smith in a real tight final with a 121 checkout in the deciding leg, so he's well able for the big stage
