Humphries looks like he doesn't want to be there. Very uncomfortable looking on stage. He just has to hang on mentally and hope Smith cools off.

He was 2-0 down against Cross but doesn't look like a repeat of last night. Smith has a great chance of going all the way tbh.

Humphries has prob made more money than expected and is pretty content but this great performance in the championship will stand too him for the future. Game not over yet though

Looks like Luke played his final last night. Pity.

This is nowhere near good enough to trouble Smith.

    it far from over

C'mon, hope he makes a game of it. Great finish. Too many wayward darts though.

Smith always liable to throw the darts out of the pram, game on..

His finishing is top notch though! Jaysus he can't miss.

    Happy he’s proving me incorrect.

    Game on now.

What a finsh there by Humphries

This is a great fast paced game there I'd say premier league standard

Nearly always the same pattern.Player beats the world champ and goes out tamely the next round.

Impressive from Smith with plenty to improve on too.

Proving you incorrect was only short lived.
He just couldn't score nearly heavily enough.

I think Smith would put up a better show in the final than Aspinall

If Aspinall made it to the final than it think it may be Cross II in expectation and he will flop. Smith would be well used to playing MVG/Anderson. It tech could easily be a Aspinall vs Joyce final though

i done smith at 14/1 few weeks back to win it outright, but the more i see of him i don,t think he has the all round game to do it.he,s doubles and finishing are shocking, against mvg or ando you won,t get away with that.

Good stuff from Smith, but I wonder what happens when the pressure comes on
Completely threw away the World Series of Darts final against Wade when he missed 5 match darts
Seems to go through patches in games where he misses a pile of doubles in succession, did it there tonight again

    Classy performance from Smith.

He will take some stopping if he keeps up that form.

Him vs his mentor Anderson would make an interesting final.

So that's it for Humphries, what a ride it has been. Will have lots of possibilities to take away from this few weeks.
All the newbies have conducted themselves so well in these WC’s

Be very surprised if Joyce gets a set here.

103s from Gary and Smith, you'd imagine Van Gerwen will be gunning to put those averages to shame.

  • Registered Users Posts: 475 ✭✭selwyn froggitt

MVG should be under no real pressure other than he's expected to win so his streak of 100 averages I'd say is less likely to end tonight

I don't think we will be watching live darts up to 11pm tonight:o

Is there anywhere that gives you a blow-by-blow account of the scoring in each leg?
