Don't let that put you off, there can still be some great matches, and what better way to get to know some of the lesser known players?

I was in the same boat last year and got to see some of the best up and coming youngsters, and I always enjoy watching the qualifiers from further afield. Their championship is just playing in the finals so it can be very enjoyable to watch.

Paul Lim's match against Gary Anderson early on was one of the highlights of the tournament for me.

I watched the first set and then had to collect the kids from school and then make lunch for everyone and we all eat our lunch and then checked in and they were just finishing the second set.

I've done both sessions at the BDO in one day, a long day and a strange one removed from natural light from about midday!

(plus the Lakeside Country Club is stuck in the 70's :pac: )
