Floodlight Spur Cable Requirement

Hello All,

Could somebody advise on what type of cable i need to run a spur from an existing external foodlight to an additional one being fitted at the side of house.

The cable will be fixed to the property at high level i.e. not buried.

I would suggest 1.5mm 3 core NYY-J Cable.

No, this cable is not UV resistant.

My bad, I thought you had suggest NYMJ.
You are correct, that cable is UV resistant.

Do you think it is the best choice or would advise something else?

I prefer where possible to put all cables in steel conduit when outside.

If I had to go outside I would go for steel conduit too.
