G+ / Google Plus to shut down for consumers in August 2019

    Firstly, my own personal story on Google+

    I set up my account and started posting in August 2011. There were very few Irish users then. The most Irish use I could see on Google+ was in 2012/ early 2013. Even the Square Shopping Centre has a g+ icon above its information desk. I had no facebook account then. G+ seemed more suited for techies. And then Google+ team embarked on a sizeable project to create games that could be played on the platform.
    OMFG

    The google+ team were in panic mode.

    Because of lack of growth, I stopped making updates on Google+ in 2013. Then, in 2015, I decided to give Google+ another try as it had been tied in with YouTube.
