    You need a suv, Kuga, sportage. The likes of a Duster would be a runner but you would be showing your class.

    The cabin space in the Kuga is brutal. I wouldn’t consider it at all family friendly. The sportage is marginally better, but not hectic.

    If it's torque for overtaking at low speeds you're looking for...you have to floor it in any diesel or petrol engine, and use the clutch, dropping like a loon to get your revs up to achieve that torque at low speed. For instant torque from stopped,  for speedy city driving, those characteristics are what you get from an electric motor.  Here's a vid on a sports car vs a run of the mill low-cost EV.
