They're going to have to fit refs with reversing cameras too. :D

Rhys was the first back into the sheds at full time. When asked for autographs from a few on the terrace he apologised, saying he needed to go check on Poite.

In hindsight was this basically super rugby?

Frilly attack with through the leg passes, props running like the wind...and optional defence from wasps

    :p

Yeah. The only difference being that the frilly attack resulted in a try. :p

Is that the best you’ve got?

Watching it back last night, Luke McGrath had a super game.

For his own second try, off the Furlong/Lowe break, he's running a support line 10 metres in front of his team-mates, he's anticipating the linebreak and when it happens he's already behind the defence; most players would instinctively drift back behind the play.
For Lowe's first try, Kearney runs a support line that slows Daly down, but McGrath is bursting a gut to run a line on Lowe's left that fixes the last defender (Bassett); Bassett knows that if he commits to Lowe, it's an easy run-in for McGrath.
Then for Lowe's second try, he's right there on Ryan's shoulder looking for the offload to keep forward momentum going.

I hadn't been impressed with him so far this season but he was great on Friday.

Metres gained by entire Wasps team: 123m
Metres gained by James Lowe: 184m

Ergo, James Lowe is better than the entire Wasps team.

Honestly what you’ve said is probably too true for me to provide a response. Even at my most facetious.

To be fair, JGP does this as well. They run a looping line that can take them through the defence if there's a break, but at the same time are in position to get to the ruck if the move breaks down.

His defence was pretty outstanding too, makes tackles that a man twice his size might miss. Including that superb tap tackle on the wasps hooker in the second half, when he fixed the 6 first and forced him to pass, then scrambled for the tackle.

All (good) scrum halves do it. Murray Kinsella had a piece on Marmion doing it a year or two ago.

Yeah, remember reading that one. But this is the Leinster thread, so feck off with your Marmions. :p
