Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone know how this is happening? its a real waste of water, its very slight but there is still water coming out of the cistern down the back of the bowl and I'd like to stop it.

I tried adjusting the nut at the ballcock but didn't seem to work.

    Thanks for replies in advance.

You should have an overflow on the cistern. Is there one.

The seal under the cistern may be gone. Have a look at the bottom of the cistern.

A small piece of grit is not allowing the seal to close fully if the cistern is not filling with water or the seal at the filling point needs attention if it's not stopping when filling and overflowing. Look up toilet running water or something like that on youtube and it will show how to fix. Small problem easily fixed.

are you saying it is full to top with water, and overflowing, or is it that this could be a small hairline crack or a seal that is not working

It sounds like the cistern is overfilling. This is usually caused by damage of the rubber/plastic plunger valve inside the mechanism at the inlet.
