New Bike...Trivial Problem

The Dagestani Eagle

Bought a Cannondale Synapse Hi Mod Disc ETAP.

It has frame mounts for mudguards.
Two on top of the seat stay to install a "brake bridge" , two on the bottom of the seat stay and one on the rear of the front fork.

There does not seem to be any grommets or plugs with the bike.

Surely i don't just leave them exposed? They will rust.

Should i cover them with tape (feels wrong on a 7.5k bike) ? or is there a generic sized plug to fit the hole?

Any ideas

any bike shop will have the little 3mm or 4mm allen bolts that thread into these, for a few pence.

buy a couple, lightly grease the threads, screw them in, job done.

No solution, but would like to ask about the bike itself. Is it the 2018 frame?
What do you think of it? Is it might? Considering this frame and building it up with ultegra di2 maybe.

Not as wrong as mudguards on a €7,500 bike? :eek::eek::eek:

What mudguards fit the synapse? Feels weird in terms of mounts?

i have not sat on it yet. just built it yesterday. yeah it is the 2018.

A lot of TT bikes use little plastic plugs for covering up bottle cage bosses when they arent being used, something like these,

I know I got a few on my last TT bike, local bike shop might have few floating around.

This is a tough situation. No easy answers.

Time to buy a new bike IMO.
