Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

EPH Controls electronic Vs mechanical thermostats

We're finding that our mechanical stats are not that sensitive to changes in temperature and the room temps are all over the place. Would electronic stats be more sensitive and reliable? Would it be straight forward to swap them out? http://www.heatmerchants.ie/v4/581ae913-e1fb-435e-a88b-ded312da5b38/uploads/EPHControlsResidentialCatalogue.pdf

The old stats prob don’t have a neutral. Get new wireless stats or a heating control upgrade. There’s a good grant for it too

System was installed about three years ago. Not that happy with the stats in particular.

I asked on a Facebook plumbing group what installers thought were the best hive or climote. I created a poll. Someone added a third opinion in the pole. UPH Ember controls. What supprised me was that the Ember won the poll by a mile. Hive & climote combined didn't even get half the votes of the Ember. I've no idea why Ember was so popular with the trade. It could have been ease of install rather than quality. I don't know.

They’ve a 5 year warranty. Well made, simple to work with and when you’ve a problem you ring someone in cork.

    Are the stats poorly located?

No, if I adjust the stat I hear the click for what it thinks the room temp currently is and it's way off.
