If that's your opinion I can respect it, even though I don't agree with it.

i can understand where dislike, even hatred, for the eu comes from, im personally pissed at how we have been treated over the last couple of decades, particularly since the crash by it, but i do think groups such as diem25 are onto it, we re better off sticking it out and trying to reform it from within, as a total collapse of the eu would probably spell disaster for us all.

We could just as well have stuck with English rule.

There's opinions, and then there's facts.

The fact is that this country has gained many billions directly and indirectly from EU membership, while Britain treated Ireland as a colony to be drained of funds as much as possible, and looked the other way when the Irish they'd reduced to penury were starving in their millions.

When people come out with completely ignorant nonsense like your post, it's very hard to retain any respect for them.

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

We all know about the Protestant work ethic.

Then there's the Catholic work ethic, "feck it, it'll do, or I'll do it tomorrow" , but you feel guilty about it.

Other than that the only difference between Northern Ireland and down here is whether it's Westminster or Dublin calling the shots.

Or as a German puts it unification would mean that by 2025 Northern Ireland's economic output would be almost £16bn higher than it otherwise would have been.

Removal of FM radio from mobile phones to be replaced by crap data based radio.

My phone has FM. Reception is a bit ropey. Much prefer to use TuneIn.

People will always be needed in customer service as customers will always want to whinge and moan to a person rather than a computer even though the customer is wrong

It seems like a lot of people moan on Boards instead of ringing customer services.
