Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Can you provide some facts to support your claims please that these are common motivations of those on the left.

You need facts posted to you believe that there are only 2 Genders? The Left is lost.

FFS, that was a totally different situation - the MB were, like it or not, democratically elected. The Army overthrew them using extreme violence and banned people from opposing this even through ordinary protest.

The MB are by no means good people, but in a democracy, when a party gets elected, it gets elected. Overthrowing a democratic election using violence is bullsh!t.

You see, what you stated was people can pick and choose which gender they are.

Like I said, the vast majority on the left don't believe that, they believe you can realise that you relate more to a specific gender and then live your life as that gender.

Again, please provide facts to back up your claims please.

Can we please stop talking as if the identity politics nutcases represent "the left"? They really don't, any more than the Return of Kings types represent "the right". Many, many people on the left are social libertarians, who initially became leftists to oppose the social authoritarianism of the right (banning things or restricting individual freedom on "family values" grounds) - to those of us who did, the new authoritarian left is an absolute scourge and a fundamental betrayal of leftist values.

For example, the left was always opposed to censorship in the past, now it's leading the charge on turning the internet into a curated, supervised "playground" environment. Those who became leftists in the 90s or 2000s do not support this sh!t, and some of us are very vocal in opposing it.
Similarly with the abortion campaign - most leftists are pro-choice on individual freedom grounds, but the militant f*ckers who thought it was ok to rip down opposition posters, or threaten to boycott venues which had the temerity to offer a space for the right to hold meetings or rallies, or thought it was ok to sneer, condescend and downright insult anyone who was undecided instead of working to earn their vote - these people are actively despised by a significant proportion of leftists. They just get far too much attention because it makes good clickbait for the press, and this in turn encourages them to carry on acting like complete assholes unabated.

These people are not "the left". They have more in common with the Christian Conservative Right than they'd ever actually admit, and certainly far more than they have in common with the genuine liberal left.

You are free to disagree but the leftist hivemind tells us that massive immigration from the third world is unquestionably a good thing and anyone who disagrees is a racist (hence the Germans, British and Swedish governments attempts to cover up migrant sex crimes).

As for the right atm I would say our concerns are ending illegal migration, eradicating Islamic terrorism, getting tough on crime and keeping the economy strong.

So no problem with other terrorism then?

given that changing gender like a pair of socks, and identifying as neither male or female, doesn't even register in the thought processes of most people, meaning it doesn't have massive support, then how does it even matter?

Look at aaaaaaaalll these crazy, virtue-signalling germans:

    WRYmys9.jpg

It's amazing they dare to even leave the house knowing that SuperSharia has completely replaced german law and immigration has made the entire country a No Go Zone which smells faintly of falafel.
Protesters from across Germany have marched through Berlin against racism, xenophobia and the far right in one of the country’s biggest rallies of recent years.

Organisers put the turnout at 242,000 people. The demonstration on Saturday followed anti-immigration protests in several eastern cities over the summer and a rise in support for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party before a state election in Bavaria on Sunday.

A police spokesman declined to estimate the size of the crowd at the march, which was organised by a broad alliance of associations, labour unions, parties and rights groups including Amnesty International.

These people were trying to be compassionate in what was (and probably will be 90% of the time) a misguided manner.

If people being compassionate is used as an excuse to justify Trump his behavior and morals then the world truly is on a slippery slope.
They were Dumb and being dumb is what brought Trump .

The left are Dumb . When they get into power they don’t know how to do anything or get anything done .

the blame for Trump lies strictly with the retards who like him and vote for him.

Anyone who voted for him is a retard? That's just ignorant as f*ck. ''They don't agree with my views so they're retards.'' Basically, that's the hard left in a nutshell. So far left that they've come out the other side.

Anyone who spent more than 5 minutes learning about Donald Trump and the person he has consistently shown himself to be in the 70+ years he has been on the planet, and thought:

"this man is competent to be president of the United States"

is severely, profoundly lacking in critical judgement.
Trying to shift the blame for Trump's election on to the people who said ' he's a fool and a liar and you are fools for voting for him' is not only foolish, but cowardly.

Terrible but they're not commuting mass sex crimes in Europe, shooting up concert venues, blowing up tube stations, running over people in trucks etc

Now to play your game, why aren't you angry about any of the above?

Who said I wasn't angry about terrorist attacks?
I don't like anyone committing any crimes

But I don't just dislike it in Europe, I don't like it anywhere

As a left inclined individual, can I ask you to stop suggesting we all think that way. We all don't. Certainly, the extreme left do.

This throwing a lasso around everyone who doesn't agree with you and saying they all think the same way is nuts.

I don't think everyone who voted for him is nuts, I recognize how much they hated the alternative, but those that are ardent fans and wearing MAGA hats I do think are mostly ill-informed and manipulated.

The left seems to confuse the number of people who take part in protests with electoral success.

Personally I'm quite open to immigration, but the shouting down of people who aren't has led to a sullen silence which is being expressed through the ballot box and the rise of the stupid right - e.g. fascists, Trump, Brexit etc. If the left allowed a more open debate, I think we'd see a more moderate electorate response - unfortunately most of the left are, well, dopes, and think that preventing debate is the same as winning.

You won't get an apology because you are using terms which mean different things from your view to that which seems to be the common view.

You have used terms including far left, hard left and extreme left to have different motivations. I would say that all of these are the same thing and are the minority of the entire left associated grouping.

You asked me to stop suggesting left leaning people all think in an extreme or uniform way. Never said it. Not once. You actually agreed with me towards the end of your reply. ''The extreme left think that way'' is what you said. Which is exactly what I said!

I have used extreme left, hard left and far left synonymously with each other and each other only, NOT with the left in general. Hope that's clear enough for you.

Exactly. Hillary was not a likable choice but I think many are using her as an excuse to justify themselves or numbers that voted for Donald. I think many did so because they bought in to his rhetoric that everything is easy, his barely disguised racism and the fact that he was loud.

Scary thing is, If I was betting today, I'd bet that he will be re-elected in 2020.
No viable alternative on the democrat side and many Americans just don't seem to care about long term global relations or the state of the planet.
