In next door with flanders and his brother. Flanders brother obtained a case of karpackie 9%. A proper hobo drink, flanders is pouring scorn on us for drinkin it(he's drinking molson ffs) but if I'm honest it tastes much nicer than the lorenzi Milano champagne we had for my 30th birthday. I wasn't the one ordering the bottles but I know it costs a fkn fortune. I'd take this stuff over the fancy champagne any day.

abed with the din of increasing wind and battering rain in my dwelling and in my head.

My neighbour the ferryman came with my extra turf, warning me of the very strong wind coming in from the north - the most exposed direction. So, hunkered down and not expecting to get much sleep the night.... 120 km per hour !

So far my internet satellite dish has stayed strong on the north facing gable end wall, Far better than digiweb ever did in past years ... a local firm this one..

all is safe inside, oh except my oldest cat insisted on going out again...

    Stay safe in the wind.

Make sure you pay him! I'm in the neighbours mancave getting pissed, it's a pretty impressive setup.. He has an original jukebox scavenged from a closed pub. I'm wondering has he any Chris de Burgh on there ;) I like that song, then I'll see if Spanish Train is on the list.

Been complaining since October that I was struggling to breathe. Like I would climb the stairs and I’d be panting. So out of breath. Paid to go to the dr out of hours one night cause I woke up because I felt like I was suffocating. Went in and he told me it was probably an anxiety attack and sent me home with a Xanax and told me to see my own gp about anxiety medication. I felt a bit indignant because I don’t feel anxious. If I did I would be the first to ask for help. Anyway, I booked in with my GP the following Wednesday feeling like the out of hrs dr wasted my money and when the locum called me in, it was the same dr from the out of hrs. My face fell. He knew I wasn’t happy. He listened to me though, asked if the Xanax helped and I said it did in so far I didn’t care I couldn’t breathe but it didn’t in so far as I actually couldn’t breathe. He asked me if I was worried about anything and I said, yes, I couldn’t breathe. He determined it was a sinus infection and sent me on my way.

On and off ever since I can’t breathe. It feels when I take air in it doesn’t reach my chest. I got anti biotics after Xmas for another sinus infection and the dr warned that this year’s bugs are hard to shake off.

I was in work today and I was threading and all of a sudden I couldn’t breathe. I had to keep stopping and turning away from the client to take air in through my mouth. My chest was tightening, my heart was racing and my hair was wet from sweating. I couldn’t even talk, I didn’t feel like my chest had enough air to talk I was gasping. I left the room and walked out, and I was drenched with sweat. I’m not anxious, I’m not worried, I’m not upset. I just can’t breathe.

I just don’t want to go back to the dr with the same problem and be told I’m anxious. I’m only anxious because I can’t breathe

Anyway I’m in work, wondering what I should do

Shoes could your gp refer you to a doctor who specialises in Airways or Ear, Nose and mouth. Did the gp tell you to take extremely deep breaths?

No he wanted to put me on anti anxiety meds. I lie in bed wondering if sheep ride goats and trying to sing twinkle twinkle little star to the tune of happy birthday. Trust me, I’m relaxed :D

See I’m on a chemo tab since July and it’s probably that that’s causing trouble but it’s worrying and a horrible feeling like you can’t breathe

Living room, just finished a lovely bowl of porridge (is there anything nicer?) and fecking dying [or I will be later].

    (

I have been having porridge most mornings the past few weeks and the other day was teaching my Korean kids class about past continuous and used the sentence "At 7 I was eating oatmeal for breakfast."

This got them curious about oatmeal so I brought some raw and some cooked in the next day. They weren't impressed.

Anyway, home drunk as fook after 5 free cocktails. The absinthe ones were great.

    Night all.

Recliner, just back from dinner out where we met young wans new fella. Bit of a dick I thought, but Mrs says "he's a lovely young lad".
Going to nap for a while, between last night and the dinner I'm sleepyish.

In an Airbnb in Roscommon. A gorgeous little cottage with an open fire, secluded all around by woods and a lake. We’ve a tv with picture but no sound :pac: so music it is and plenty of red wine. A few of our friends are on the way. Gonna have a right old laugh. Rain bashing against the window. Bliss.

    Hope you're OK shoes..

Sitting on a different side of the couch calling my eldest a dirty wagon. She wants a lift to Westport and the wind and rain is lashing plus I need to get petrol, so she calls me up (again after I'd agreed to bring her) and the call obviously died on her side but I could hear her slagging me off to her friend. I'm a bit upset and wondering if I should just leave her at home to teach her some manners. Bloody kids. :(
Also watch the Ted bundy documentary on Netflix. It's really good.
