Looking on the WEEE website and there is a recycling point at Harvey Norman in Catlebar but it's not very clear what is accepted? Ive a few old laptops, tv and a few smaller bits. Is it just a matter of bringing them here or what?

    Public Collection Days 2018
DATE COUNTY LOCAL SITE NAME TIME
Saturday 20th October Mayo Tesco Car Park
    Swinford 10am - 4pm

Swinford would closer to 'Coillte' that Castlebar.

    Yeah, just drop off.
But I would take a hammer to the old laptop hard disks if you haven't already done that first.

Anything with a plug or a battery is the norm.

You could just bring them to the landfill between Castlebar and Newport if you have a car.

I thought they only recycled like for like when you bought something new. Not sure though

We are all paying a bit extra to cover the WEEE program when we purchase an electrical product. Think they have to take things as you have in effect paid already. It's never free!

Yes it's only a small levy added to the purchase price.
Very handy with bulky items they will load the old one into the van and take it away for you.
