Have you tried Google Maps? Or www.a-b.ie ?

Depending on where in Ranelagh you are, the LUAS followed by a 16,33 might make most sense. If you're on the Appian Way side of Ranelagh then walking to Ballsbridge and getting a 4 might be simplest.
