Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Lovely move there
Robinson looks like our star the way hes playing not a guy whos just came into the team

Yeh he looks decent. Can keep the ball and pass it. Martin and Roy will kick that out of him sharpish.

Nothing going down the right wing. One time doherty got forward he caused a problem

Randolph just hoofing it up the field is soul destroying and no doubt an instruction from our management.

Halftime whistle was greeted with the realisation that there is another 45 minutes to go.

Poor game. Very scrappy. Robinson our best player and always looking to make something happen.

Wales don't look anything to fear. We need to take more chances in the second half. Can't help but feel playing 3 CBs is showing them too much respect.

Anyone know what game phil babb is watching? Might stick it on.

    Why.

Football from the dark ages. And It doesn't work any more.

Phil Babb correctly identified that it would have been better if we’d had a young Robbie Fowler playing for us.

This thread sums up the apathy. One post every couple of minutes and barely 6 pages on mobile.

One or two decent moves. I think we have the beating of Wales tonight but a goal is going to be hard to come by. A pity that early chance didn’t fall to a more attack minded player than Christie. He snatched at it. Get Hourihane on for him maybe he’ll take a chance if one comes his way

McClean out of the Denmark game with that booking.

    A small mercy

Ireland becoming impossible to watch now. Just so dysfunctional as a team

Wales are average without Bale; he makes them look better than they are. And we made the whole Welsh team look better last month by playing absolute dog****è.

But we're hitting the first man from every set piece just fine without him.

Harry Wilson is a scorer of great free kick goals.

    WTF is Randolph doing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

Score is irrelevant this team and the management is diabolical. Absolutely nothing to our play, they haven’t a clue what to do. This is worse than the Staunton days

Take a bow Harry Wilson, sublime

WTF is Randolph doing there? Why have a wall if you're going to stand in the middle of the goal?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 3,814 ✭✭✭irishman86

    Are you joking
    Randolph ****ed up there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Why are we taking our best performer today off?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 31,152 ✭✭✭✭KERSPLAT!

I can't understand what Arter was doing there? It looked like he had the chance to boot the ball away but brought his leg over it while sliding and into the Welsh player?

    Cracking free.

Randolph's position wasn't great, he was almost directly behind the wall

I hate this Irish team. So hard to watch, and it seems like no passion. God its depressing.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 3,814 ✭✭✭irishman86

one goal down, we all know what to do, take our best player off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,500 ✭✭✭✭fullstop

    Harsh on Robinson getting hooked.

That wasn't a cracking free kick or anything like it . Nowhere near the corner, Randolph not covering his side properly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

    Wait for it....

'In fairness Tony it took a brilliant free kick to beat us, Wales were hanging on before that'

He moved to his left and basically snookered himself.
Really we don't deserve much else. For a home side against a team missing 3 of their better players and us to show this little initiative is embarrassing

Stupid free kick to concede. Rubbish goalkeeping. Typical stuff really.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

If this management team are in charge come the Euro qualifiers I’m done wasting time money to watch it. They’re a national embarrassment how stuck in the mud they are. Some of the players can **** off with them.

I’ve always been one to scoff at 99% of manager criticism under the knowledge they know better than any of us. But some of MONs decisions are as if he wants Ireland to lose. They defy logic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 932 ✭✭✭Yillan

Bringing on strikers as a response to going behind is never a good sign of a manager who has a plan B.

Not even Stan was as bad as this.

Ireland sadly are hopeless. Wales missing most of their first choice midfield too.
