Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can't believe that Vettel has not passed Bottas yet.

I think it might end the way it is at the moment with Hamilton in 3rd.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

If Hamilton was on the Ultras until the end; could he have won it then?

Why can't every race be like this?

Bottas is so rubbish under pressure.

Now that was proper racing. Hopefully get more Hamilton v verstappen action in the future

Hamilton had to go for it. Fair play to him for trying to win it on this lap. Max is a different breed though!

Delighted for Kimi. Great race by him. Well deserved. Some end to that race. Great racing by them all.

Kimi finally wins in a Ferrari again, fair play to him, did exactly what he needed to.

Hamilton went for it at least against Max, championship lives on for another week. Some drive from Max as well.

    Great race! Great finish!

    Delighted for Kimi.

Fun fact, the last win for Mika Hakkinen was the USGP in 2001.

Maybe another last win for a Finn in the US?

Kimi’s first win since Australia 2013. Still swearing on the radio.

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.

Kimi wins it. That was very well deserved. He also got a bit of respect there from Hamilton.

Not bad for the driver thats too old and too slow to be on the grid next year ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,397 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Good stuff. Hope Hamilton takes it gracefully... the strategy not good for him today, delayed the stop too long. Toto looks a bit sheepish
    Well done Kimi

His tyres were fresher than Max's, Max got him with an undercut earlier in the race

Kimi has gotten better and better as season has went on. He's still got it!

Great race. Delighted for Kimi. Great racing by Verstappen too. Also, I was delighted to see Hamilton make a second stop. He is great to watch when he is pushing. Fair play to him for having a go at Verstappen too. Didn't work out, but he is always willing to have a shot.

Hamilton looked like he had the pass made... maybe a bit cautious giving Max a wide berth and he drifted out wide

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

Maybe it was tactics from Kimi all the time so he didn't have to give extended interviews

  • Registered Users Posts: 409 ✭✭strawdog

I think thats where max has been clever to give himself a reputation as a bit of a wild man. No one takes a pass on him for granted

Looks like he got on the dirt a bit when leaving Max racing room.

I was referring to Bottas, in response to Harika mentioning his tyre degradation
