Getting a suspended sentence for hitting his wife IN A GARDA STATION is really bizarre sentencing.
That judge wouldn’t be The strictest judge in the country.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,901 ✭✭✭Deebles McBeebles

Judging from that case alone, that judge shouldn't be a judge in any country.

Floyd Mayweather? Sean Connery? Sean Penn? These guys are venerated right? All three have been charged with or accused of domestic violence. And that’s just three random examples.

What reception do you think Floyd Mayweather would get if he graced Ireland with his presence?

He would be protested by the woke brigade. The same brigade who are totally silent on traveller misogyny.

The “woke brigade.” I know who wouldn’t be out protesting: you lot. I’m sure there’d be a big thread in After Hours about “triggered snowflakes” or some such.

Mag’s mate Bernard sweeney is some sh1te talker. According to one of his status updates today us ‘country folk’ are no different to the British during famine Ireland.

Bernard is now doubling down on this. As part of his new travision book 'Rewriting Irish history' it wasn't the British who killed the Irish in the famine at all. It was the 'settled Irish'
The British did not cause the Irish famine, they did however leave the "Irish for dead", lack of and force of political actions. Here is the real killing part in the deaths of Irish people most of the deaths were caused by "other" Irish people. So when you read or hear the term: "class war" just think of the Irish famine, and think of "what your own did to you".

What are RTE getting from promoting Traveller culture? Some sort of moral high ground maybe? I genuinely don't get it. Casey being roared at on the LLS, that powder puff documentary on traveller accommodation and now this.

has to be some sort of funding going from the arts council or other guberment body

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭normanoffside

Well he knows where the ****ing airport is!

To be fair, he is not getting his desired reaction from his followers which shows why only 3 people have donated to his book.
The book is underway and those who do donate and those who had already made a donation can have their name printed in 'our' upcomg book!. Ok, that might not sound like a big deal right now, but you won't be saying that when the movie comes out!, just putting it out there.

    That really annoys me too.

I am a normal person who doesnt want my children to live in a rat infested ****hole at the side of the road. I dont avoid having a fixed address so I can away with whatever I like.

Why should I have this stupid nonsense of settled person attached to me .

It drives me mad. Living in houses in the norm but you'd swear were were all nomads and Travellers are the real Irish, with the rest of us having "settled" at some point. The truth is that Travellers are the ones who splintered off (estimated around the time of Cromwell and the plantations in the North in the 1600's). Irish people have always been "settled".
The earliest known construction of a crannog is the completely artificial Neolithic islet of Eilean Duill, Loch Olabhat on North Uist in Scotland. Eilean Domhnuill[7] has produced radiocarbon dates ranging from 3650 to 2500 BC[4] while Irish crannogs appear from middle Bronze Age layers at Ballinderry (1200–600 BC).[52] Prior to the Bronze Age, the existence of artificial island settlement in Ireland is not as clear. While lakeside settlements are evident in Ireland from 4500 BC, these settlements are not crannogs as they were not intended to be islands.

We've been "settled" for 7,000 years! They've been Travellers for 400 and most of them are now "settled" Travellers, living in houses. They can go and sh!te with their labels.

There could be a split in the camp. (Excuse the pun)

    From FB
    Bernard Sweeney
Peadar Hopkins this is kinda my point....who made profits from the recession Ireland had in recent times?. Just like how the same systems are used today and pitted Settled community against our (Traveller) community.....so if we dropped using nationalities, religions, ethnicities etc etc it all came down to people from all walks of life including Irish people in general.....bad, greedy and all in all, politicians with capitalist interests, in other words; the only interest was first and foremost, profits. So regardless the situation or the environment, regardless if who started it or not.... British Rule politics killed many many Irish people and were supported by like minded people living in Ireland, including your Daniel O'Connell.

It always comes back to Ms Cash. Why do you have such a problem with this thread? Margaret is no fool and keeps her face book profile public to keep herself in the media. She couldn't give a sh!te about people on here judging her, or people like you "defending" her. She has her eyes set on one goal - a forever home in Tallaght.

Another Margaret story in the making

"6 CHILDREN AND NO WHERE TO GO"

We're speaking to Michelle who had been staying in hotel accommodation. She is expecting her 7th baby. Three days before Christmas their mobile home was attacked with slash hooks in Little Island. Their children were in the mobile home at the time. They had been accommodated in a few different hotels. However, last week they had to leave the last hotel that was made possible for them. The family maintain they are being discriminated against because they are travellers.
