    How vital do people see Mendy being if he plays?

    I can do

    Tripper——->Mendy
    Kenedy——>J.Murphy

    I’d have to do it ASAP due to imminent Mendy price rise.

    Mendy isn't due a rise anytime soon

    Probably doing something boring like Begovic > Fabianski and roll the other FT for the following week when can assess the need for KDB/Mendy

    He's almost 30% towards a second rise already. I'd wager he'll get his second rise before the gameweek deadline

    That's very different to having to do a move 'ASAP due to imminent Mendy price rise'.

    Ah well yes if taking asap in the literal sense, I was more taking it as before changes take place on Fri night/Sat morning

    Anyone else deciding on a Kane replacement? Who are we going for? Thinking Arnie myself.

    PEA

    PEA

    Not so sure on PEA or Laca myself. Or Kun for that matter. No strikers I REALLY want

    This is why I’m changing tact. Going 3-5-2. Going with Arnie & Wilson in attack and loading up on premium midfielders.

    More options & easy to switch around based on form / fixtures

    I’m actually stumped.. I’ve 2 FT’s with nothing itb

    Leno Hamer
    Tripper Robertson Zaba AWB Bennet
    Salah Hazard Dilva Ricky Hoijberg
    Kun Mitro Ings

    Any suggestions as I hate to waste a transfer

    Assuming you don’t don’t to sell Silva or Ricky

    Sell hojlberg
    If you brought in Kayal it would give you .1 to switch tripper to Mendy
    Or you could just switch him to Billing for same price . Excellent fixtures and he looked good the last day as well as being a long throw merchant and is nailed on . Camarasa and Westwood also have good fixtures

    Alternatively downgrade Leno to a 4.5 like Ryan
    I don’t think he will prove to be worth .3 more than a lot of the 4.5 keepers
    Again Cardiff and Huddersfield in particular have a good run along with Brighton (theirs is more patchy )

    Moura/Shaw to Schurrle/Robertson or maybe Mendy

    I'm looking at that approach in a wildcard but fear a little bit about not having the obvious captain choices each week

    Ederson
    Mendy Alonso Robertson
    Hazard KDB Mane Richarlison Maddison
    Firmino Arnoutovic

    Pascal Gross back this week? Lovely price on him

    Westwood was dropped the last day for Defour so he's not nailed anymore. I got rid of him to fund move for Mendy.

    Hazard Salah, Sterling, Mahrez. I’d be happy enough with them as captain picks

    I’m not 100% set on keeping Ricky or Dilva!
    Ha ha Kayal wouldn’t be a bad call if he was nailed on! Getting Mendy Back might make moving Dilva on a little easier keeping my quota of City players.

    I just got Leno in 2 weeks back, I’ve 8.8m tied up in my 2 keepers and I’m happy enough at the moment about that. As long as he’s Arsenal’s number 1 he’s auto pick for me and the fact Hamer doesn’t play ha ha!

    Looking at:

    Kane, Iwobi, Walker--> Mitrovic, Salah, Pereira
    -4

    Don't want to lose Iwobi though

    Strongly considering this now myself looking at

    Aguero-->mitro
    Taa-->lovren
    Son-->salah

    With a view of next week doing
    Sterling-->kdb
    Fraser-->maddison
    Long-->zab

    Which would leave me

    Fab
    Lovren mendy Alonso
    Hazard kdb salah maddison richi
    Arnie mitro
    Hamer zab wan b jimenez

    Couple of hits involved but that looks an ok settled team

    I've Mane earmarked for a few weeks to add to Firmino but my bench is a mess, tempted to bring in Lovren for a -4

    *Panic buy Salah

    Two -8s in two weeks is madness imo. You might think that team will be great when you have it but after two more GWs, things will likely look very different and you will still be looking at plenty of surgery.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

    Doesn't look a whole lot better than the current team even without the 16 point hit.

    Have 2 fts this week so it's only a 4 point hit will reassess next week but that's what I have in mind atm

    Why Long to Zab next week when you aren't playing him or don't need the funds?? I like the team though as it will probably be the same starting 11 I'll have next week except I've sterling instead of de Bruyne.

    I don’t get the Lovren one tbh. Why not Gomez? He’ll play ahead of both TAA & Lovren.

    I have most of that midfield bar KDB. I’ll be going Mahrez here.

    Need the extra funds to get salah also encouraged by him getting a rest tonight

    Far from finalised for next week probably is a waste of a transfer as I already have fab hadn't thought it through fully

    .2 in the difference and will play more games than him. I’d probably look elsewhere for guaranteed 4.5 starter or Matt Doherty
