So most people here are angry at the way Irish radio has gone but have you ever asked the bai why they allowed it to happen? I rang them last year asking them why they weren't putting 4fms 10 year licence out to tender but giving an automatic renewal and the man on the phone said none of your business and hung up:(

This would not encourage one to ring them. The attitude is unprofessional at least but also very bad mannered. I am aware of temporary extensions to licences where ongoing contract negotiations are under way ( the licence having been competed for & won by the incumbent ) but can't see the rationale behind an automatic renewal without giving intending bidders a chance to show their mettle. 4FM has changed completely from what was promised in the original licence but I assume that BAI agreed to these changes & suggests that they are not really answerable to anybody.

They have a huge recycling bin full of empty brown envelopes...

The BAI’s vision is for an Irish media landscape that reflects and shapes who we are. The phrase ‘who we are’ is intended to affirm our distinctive linguistic and cultural heritage while embracing all the diverse and multiple strands which go to make up Irish identity or identities in a global world.

Except whan it comes to music...its "Now thats what i call music......"...or nothing..

Who do you think has been getting the bribes? Are you referring to the staff? Or the board members? Or the whole lot?

Would you think about bringing your evidence of corruption to the Gardai?
