Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

She wandered out herself, something happened (car accident/paedo)
The Portugese police - from the beginning - were out to protect the integrity of their tourism value.

    Nothing more.

The fact that they left their kids alone was a bonus for Amaral, giving him the ammo to advance this nonsense.

He's an absolute cretin of a human being.

The fact that they neglected to care for their children ranks them higher up the likelihood they were responsible for her death. Directly or indirectly. Amaral is obviously a fool all the same.

What could be a more interesting predicament in this particular scenario? I would think that this is a much stronger line of inquiry.

When the news came out regarding the drunking slurr.

There was little else known. Bar he was a child rapist.

    Creaming began.

So when you compare that to the hundreds of problems that's been brought up over the years. That's fck all. But it didn't stop the cheer leaders creaming themselves.

    I guess he did.

Why he said 12 _months_ ago he'd be stitched.

    Thats not so obvious.

It’s highly likely that the investigation into CB would have been ongoing for some time before it was publicly announced he was a suspect. The German police would be acutely aware of the coverage around this case and would want to make sure that they had their ducks in a row because they know that conspiracy theorists will trawl over everything they saw and rip it out of context so this case would have been ongoing for a long time.
With that in mind, the German police would have been in regular contact with the Portuguese police where Amaral still has contacts considering he worked there for x years. Consequently, it wouldn’t be unusual for him to have been privy to that info before it was announced.

Since you have no proof of that, I can also say that the British Police did not investigate this either, for similar reasons, well maybe protection of a certain family anyway. Bizarre whatever way you look at it.

But from what I know Amaral won his case against the McCanns anyway.

So much money spent on litigation. But there we are.

Amaral is actually a stronger suspect than the McCanns.

He didn’t win his case. The McCanns won their case against him and then lost on appeal. The first case was in their favour.

If they were not fed a pack of lies from the moment they arrived. If he was protecting anything, he wouldn't have been able to if they were told the truth from the off.

Then I guess they convinced ex British police to come on board and help with their plight to save their tourist industry

And it's the anti McCanns that are the conspiracy theorists.

CB and Amaral are the strongest suspects in this case. Both convicted of a crime, lived in the same area, possibly have met each other in the past.

Amaral new suspect in McCann case.

I think you should leave the conspiracy theories to the "other side"

Semantics and a smidgeon of desperation there. Honestly WTAF are you on about? Amaral won, they lost. Get over it.

He was convicted of perjury. It was around a case where a child went missing 2 years before Madeline.

That makes him a serious suspect in anyone’s eyes.

He didn’t win because he didn’t take the case. The onus is on the applicant to prove their case

Amaral doesn’t need to prove his innocence, same way the McCanns don’t.

So are the parents, the nannies, the Tapas Group, the bloke who was convicted without charge, oh yes Murat who also got loadsa moolah from the Fund, the German abductor and so on.

Honestly what a stinking mess this is.

So we have a convicted liar (I know lies are an important indicator for you but this time it’s actual lies as opposed to someone getting the time wrong) who had access to the crime scene, no accounts for his whereabouts, was a formal suspect involving a previous case where a child went missing, who came up with a similar theory that the child was kept in a fridge and later disposed the body, then implicated the parents who were ultimately convicted based on a confession which they say was coerced and none of this is suspicious to you yet the McCanns are #1 suspect because they don’t know where their gym bag is?

He’s been cleared of libel cause his book was all that was in the investigation and that’s the highest court in Portugal so I think you’ve been trumped there. There has to be truth in Amarals case somewhere.

Almost sounds like a Portuguese tourist conspiracy theory.

As the pro side do not do conspiracies. There must be a different reason.

I think the similarities between the Joana Cipriano and Madeline McCann are striking and that Amaral was an investigator in both cases where they came up with the same theory for the disappearance and disposal, and that Amaral was convicted of perjury in relation to the Joana Cipriano investigation is very concerning.

    Accident happened, parents hid body
Again, defending the McCanns is more important than anything else it seems. Other cases are irrelevant, this case should be taken on its own merits. With the lies, the dogs and so on, there was enough to suspect the McCanns. They may have just been covering up for the neglect of their children but when everything was put together, you can see why they became suspects.

When everything is put together, you can see why they are no longer suspects and the clear and obvious reasons why that is the case, and has been for a decade.

Yea it’s not a football match lads, if you want to match lies then Amaral is the only convicted liar but doesn’t mean The Mc Canns haven’t lied time after time or everything they’ve said is the 100% truth. Either way Madeline is the biggest loser in this all so keeping score ain’t going to solve it. Listen to the Australian podcasts and you’ll see enough lies to wonder about certain theories.
