Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Only One Payment on Tax Return

I started my business in November 2017 and I did literally one job (wedding photographer) between then and the end of the year. I'm now doing my Form 11 self assessment on ROS and my tax return looks like a joke, I'm leaving so many options blank and seem to be filling in a never ending document just to say I earned a one-off cash payment.

Just wondering if anyone else had a similar issue when starting up and will this look like I'm hiding something from Revenue?

Couldn't you use form 12 for a single job of under 2k i think?

I have a Form 11 for Self-Assessment automatically entered by Revenue on my ROS account and I received a letter saying I needed to complete it. I work full time as a wedding/event photographer and am registered as self-employed since November 2017. I wasn't planning on submitting a tax return this year, was just going to add the payment I received in December 2017 to my 2018 tax return and work from there but since it's on my ROS account already I need to complete it.

I will look into Form 12 though. Thanks.
