Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thoroughly impressive second half from Wolves.
    By far the better team.
    United look a bit rudderless.

    And now down to 10

The wheels have well and truly come off.

I don't think that was a red card tackle and I don't like United.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Red card for Lindelof, Man United are absolutely imploding here! :pac:

    VAR could overturn that though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,399 ✭✭✭✭Thanx 4 The Fish

Pogba having one of his off days.

All night second touch has been a tackle. Lindeloff does not even want to be on the same pitch...

    Lindlof off maybe

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,843 ✭✭✭dmigsy

Jose will have to go after this performance.

    Straight red.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Nah, that isn’t a red on further viewing tbf.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Not a red card, that. Yellow at most.

    Matters little anyway.

    Can’t argue with that.

    Pretty hard tackle that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,612 ✭✭✭eigrod

Not a red. Reckless but not dangerous. Herrera should’ve got a 2nd yellow earlier though.

Pogba having one of his off days.

Happens quite often in big games

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

The ref really shouldn't be running over with straight reds if var is in use without at the very least asking the linesman,

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

    Lucky escape yellow card

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 33,246 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

Var says......we've been very good to United in the past, we'll keep it going yellow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,924 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

    Ridicules by VAR.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

He really cleaned him out there.

VAR is a pain in the arse. Even when it's right like here it disrupts the game for too long.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

Absolutely nailed him but that's a yellow all day

    Never a red

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,296 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

    Looked a red to me

Players crowd around shouting at the ref and delaying the game for as long as that plenty of times.

Now he brings on Mata ffs.

That's a different issue; weak reffing.

They don’t seem to be implementing the ‘clear and obvious error’ rule like they do in the NFL.

Wouldn’t have given a red card there myself but not sure it should have been reversible under that rule either.

If the rule is gonna be that the referee just re-refs it then just stick with that consistently and it’s a fine approach.

Nice of the Wolves fans to be singing Ole's name all the time.

Wolves brilliant tonight, better team by an absolute mile. Would love to see them win it.

Think their chances depend heavily on whether Pep continues to rotate a bit more in the FA Cup. Arguably you might wanna get them in a semi-final rather than a final when they'll almost certainly play their full team with the season already finished (unless they've a Champions League final to come)

That team they put out today with no Aguero, Sterling, De Bruyne, Fernandinho or a real LB is absolutely beatable.

Still think utd are mad if they choose ole over poch

    Hardly noticed Martial tonight

Not a huge shock tbh, Wolves had already marked their intent at home in this competition in the third round. Serious contenders.

Don’t know if the wheel is coming off but a few nuts have definitely come loose.

    2-1 Rashford

    Great play by Shaw

Hopefully Man U give the job to OGS before the wheels finally come for Man U's season against Barca and they get a chance to change their mind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,179 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Inconsequential consolation goal right at the end. Well done Wolves, thoroughly deserved win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

2-1 flatters United tbh. Wolves good value for their win.

City in for a tough game against this Wolves team in the semi.

How much extra would Poch cost?

Higher salary + Fee to Spurs negotiated by D. Levy + additional financial demands Poch would make (he’d hardly go to United without guarantees of a far bigger transfer budget than he has with Spurs)

That could amount to £100m+ over what appointing OGS would cost

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

It might have been a good idea to make the last roll of the dice prior to the 85th minute.

Well played, Wolves. Deserved to go through. Hope they go on to win it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

So then a strong Manchester United side go out by the same scoreline as a bare bones Liverpool one.

A bare bones United side defeated PSG in Paris when a strong Liverpool side lost to them.

Some achievement for Wolves, knocking out both Liverpool and utd in this season's competition. They're worth putting a few bob on as a "value bet".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Great result. Must be a bit worrying for United fans at the minute. Out of their last chance of silverware and could be back in 6th by the end of tomorrow. Plus some very mourinho-esque performances.
