Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Literally (almost) no one cares and City scored early so we might as well watch something else. The Stadium sounds bored and very distant.

Didn't take long for Liverpool fans to mention how few fans are in the stadium.

You think this is a good spectacle? Nothing to do with the competing clubs. Play it at Villa Park and it would be a thousand times better.

I don't rate my viewing of football on the people that attend.

The semi finals died on their arse the moment they were switched from Villa Park which was always packed tight and noisy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

Not much spectacle from your couch I imagine lads. Irony is ridiculous.

Save it. Find something else to keep replying about.

A moment of excitement from Kyle Walker and some VAR action. Is he going to get sent off? Or carded yellow or nothing at all?

answer nothing at all. He'll be targeted now if Brighton have any sense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

Surely that's a red for Walker?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

That's a terrible decision. I thought the law was head movement towards a headbutt is a red card?

Very surprised with that. Thought that's a red all day long.

I think we'll find City are being given as much help as possible to win the Quadruple. ;)

He had got a yellow. Very very lucky. We will see players get red for those over the coming years.

The Brighton player did him a huge favour by not holding his face and going down.

Can VAR not overrule the yellow originally?

Yes. And should have. The view from behind the goal was utterly conclusive imo.

Terrible decision. Should have been overuled.

Can see City scoring around the 60th minute and subbing off the big dogs

Wolves or Watford are really going to enjoy playing this City side in May. They may well not win in the end but they'll give them a proper examination, no question.

Watford have lost the last 13 against city what will change? They havent given city a game in years. For that reason as a city fan thats who i want in the final.

I think Wolves will give them a good game. Not so sure about Watford.

I am sure that City is the last club out of the couple of hundred in the whole competition they would enjoy playing against.

City could be pretty tired in any event by the final and obviously they'll have to think about the squad what with the Champions League final against Liverpool Barcelona yes Liverpool to think about :D

There is 2 weeks between the FA Cup final and Champions League Final so provided they make it to Madrid it won’t have any bearing on the game what so ever thinking about a European Final.

City squad big enough to handle it aswell.

How difficult would it to get tickets to this ?

Hope Wolves win. It would be nice to see an Irishman in the FA Cup Final.

I wonder is it harder for a bruiser like Gray to get the required delicacy on a ball like that than it would be for say David Silva...

    DOHERTYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

    Delighted for him.

Jimenez makes it 2-0 via a Doherty assist. And whips out the lucha mask as well!

Was his head not offside there?

I think there was a Watford boot just playing Jimenez on.

Doherty now with more goal involvement than any player in the competition. 4 goals and 3 assists.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

    Magical goal from Deulofeu!

2-1. Some finish coming to the game now.

Hold on Wolves! Or score again. The romance of a fallen giant backed by Chinese billionaires cannot be denied! :)

    Watford penalty!

    Stonewall penalty.

    Deeney scores!

What a comeback! Extra-Time on the way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,463 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    Henderson type celebration

3-2 Watford! Deulofeu with a big moment again.

    Can Wolves recover from this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Whoever wins this, they're going to thoroughly deserve their runners-up final medal.

Great turn around but if it stays like this it's the cup guaranteed for City. Wolves have the tools to give them trouble. Watford don't.

Watford are through to the final. Stunning comeback.

    Sickener for Wolves.

In cases where MOTM is decided and then the result ends up going the other way, do they still give the award to the player they'd decided on, or do they change their decision to reflect the match's outcome?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,827 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

If I were a Watford fan I'd sing (to the tune of deeply dippy) " Deeply deeney bout the way you score
    A contact sport
    Let the neighbours talk
    Deeply deeney your my superman
    I'll explain
    You're my Harry kane"

    But I'm not a Watford fan so I won't.

Watford are a rather better side than Wigan were in 2013..

Bit harsh on Watford to write them off already

Themselves & Wolves have been the best 2 sides outside the top 6 and Watford deservedly have a shot in a cup final

As good as City are, it's a one off game and anything can happen.

Could be one of the biggest games ever for a lot of those Watford players, City not so much

Very entertaining game today. Great comeback from Watford.

But the final is a foregone conclusion.

Ya Watford have a shocking record v City including zero wins v them in Premier league era the only thing they have got going for them is they at least got on the scoresheet the previous 3 times they've faced. While it is true Watford have minimal hope at the same time due to that all the pressure will be on City.
