Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    This game is boring af.

Two teams that don't look overly bothered about going through or not. Feels like a friendly.

    Boring game so far.

Klopp telling the Liverpool lads not to push forward. Wonder if he is planning on keeping this quiet for 60 mins or so and bringing on the boys for 30 mins to win the game.

    Why watch it?
If I didn't support Liverpool I'd put it off after 20 minutes and check it with 10 minutes left

  • Are BBC now tied to only one game per round in the FA cup this year?

They showed Newport v Leicester yesterday as well so more than one but not sure what deal they’re on.

Well; this is the second one. Newport's game with Leicester was on yesterday.

Nope, showed the Leicester game yesterday. Lovely finish from Neves. Starting to turn into a game this half.

    Neves always hits screamers :)

Almost a screamer from Shaqiri. Fantastic free-kick.

Salah and Firmino coming on for Jones and Sturridge.

  • No goal 2.0?

Big guns on for Liverpool to win the tie. Could have done without bringing them on and resting them for the weekend. If these guys get injured, Liverpool won't have a prayer of winning the league. Those squad players are not even top four PL quality. City are miles ahead in that regard.

and they get Rotherham in the cup as well.

Hoever has done very well considering the carnage around him and Fabrinho

Mignolet forward for the final seconds. Wolves close now.

All over! Wolves through and Liverpool out!

Done very well. One of the few positives for Liverpool tonight. Luck of the draw getting Wolves away. Could have been worse, could have been better. Still should have enough in a squad like Liverpool's to get a result of some sort.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,019 ✭✭✭davycc

Delighted for wolves. Hope the draw after is kind

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Klopp should have put out a stronger team, he needed a win in my opinion after the City loss.

  • Another trophy gone a begging for Klopp

Odd bringing on his best players later in the game

Why not start them, blitz wolves early and take them off

    Poor move

After a team selection like that Klopp needs to win the league or Champions League.

He could have rotated a lot better and stayed in the competition I feel.

Well done to the following underdogs who all beat higher ranked opposition:

    Brighton & Hove Albion
    Accrington Stanley
    Swansea City
    AFC Wimbledon
    Gillingham
    Bristol City
    Portsmouth
    Oldham Athletic
    Millwall
    Doncaster Rovers
    Queens Park Rangers
    Barnet
    Newport County
    Wolverhampton Wanderers

And special mention to the following who earned a second bite at the cherry:

    Luton Town
    Shrewsbury Town
    Derby County
    Blackburn Rovers

So only 14 of the 32 bigger teams won. Probably more to do with bigger ambitions and weakened squads than the “magic of the Cup” but still nice to see.

Hoping for home game for Man United v Barnet :)

Wolves rested a few there too. Great result for them.

I dont get the Liverpool logic. Name a reserve team as if you dont care yet care enough to bring on the first XI to try rescue it. Name a strong side or go reserve the whole way but doing half of both seems stupid and ultimately a waste of both. Really dont know what effect a view extra games would have on the team anyway but look he made his call. Think the loss potentially more damaging than a few more games

Klopp has to win one of the league or champions league. No excuses.

He did. If they go on to win the league, he got his team selection bang on tonight. The big players needed rest after the effort they put in during over the last month.
