Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Heating Demand from Controller cuts out in normal mode but works in boost mode

Have a Multizone timer controller that sends demand to the boiler. Fairly straightforward with 3 zones and can be Off / On Constant / Timed . And a boost option that will trigger any of the zones for a set period.

Lately it seems that in normal mode (i.e. when I select constant or timed) for any of the zones the demand goes on, boiler starts but then after 3 or 4 minutes it just cuts off, seems like the timer/controller resets or something.
If I stick it in boost mode it will stay running for the prescribed time (up to 90 minutes)

Given that it works fine in boost mode would I be safe in assuming everything is okay with the boiler and there's something electrical going wrong with the controller ?

Maybe something causing it to trip out.

Just wondering if anyone has seen that before.
And if I likely need an electrician in to check instead of the boiler plumber guy.

The controller box itself is I believe made by an Irish company who no longer exist, multi-zone heating controls ltd.
