Okay that's me gone. Thanks for the fun guys, I have to go to bed I have a big day tomorrow.

Well actually that's a lie, I just don't want to watch Tubridy any more, but it's the same result.

If you've taken enough drugs it's entirely possible to imagine this as a scaled down back to the future.

They couldn't have Christian symbols on the set as they were worried that Ray D'arcy would have a picket outside the show.

They should do a retro The Den Late Late Toy Show.. Have Dustin, Socky, Zig and Zag etc. host it and have them catapult Ryan Tubridy out of the studio into the night sky as the finale.. Would watch that.

My niece and nephew, who had been looking forward to this all night, are now playing Minecraft and ignoring the TV.

I think the studio audience are the only ones who having a great time.

I have to say, I'm the first person to hate begrudgers, hate people who pick holes in everything, hate it when people watch something just to give out....

So with that being said, I have to agree with a lot of what people are saying. The set is wrong, the acts are wrong, the toy 'reviews' are wrong. It's like they got a new producer or director in who wanted to go all modern or something, who doesn't really get what the show should be.

I switched off and am watching I’m a celeb instead. My 4 year old watched as far as the first ad break and said “ mammy I preferred the “Ariel” show last year” ....just following the thread here to prepare me for when she watches the rest of it tomorrow!

The fact the audience are arranged around a circus ring is not working for whatever reason. From what I’ve seen it feels as if there is a barrier between the audience and the stage.....I think the idea was good but it hasn’t worked!

Distinct feel of "oh sh1t, I rang in sick tonight and now they can see me"

The audience must be hitting over €2000 worth of toys, vouchers, holidays etc. But at least some of them are starting to smile.

There’s been Santa, the whole audience is in Christmas gear, Ryan is wearing Christmas jumpers.

But yeah no reference to Christmas, let’s blame the PC brigade
