Can anyone recommend a good bakery in Dublin 15?

I need a cake made for a 40th, I got a price of €180 for a novelty cake but I don't know if thats the going rate or way too expensive?

Ya I'll second that. We get all the kids birthday cakes in there and any other celebratory cakes. They're a fraction of the price of somewhere like mannings. And taste good too!

€180?! How many people was it due to feed? Sounds like a Butler's pantry quote

Only 20-30 people, ridiculous price! Got sorted any way :)

http://takethecake.ie/ based in the Base center in Mulhuddart do one off cakes at a very reasonable price - also stocked in Supervalu and several spars around. The owner does the baking slot on TV3 morning show every now and then.
