    I'd say you'd be going back at least 30 yrs for that if not more. Lots of things were different back then.

    Cars were massively less complicated back then. Has electrics changed that much in 30 yrs?

    Yeah we would refer to them as Tyre fitters, and if they attempt to do much else I would run a mile.

    As per my post, there are plenty tyre fitters doing way more than fitting tyres. Oil & filter changes ........Brakes and shocks etc etc ......
