Any thoughts on the Philips 50PUS6203/12 from Aldi?

    The specs seem good.
    Hi lewis,

The lower spec models tend to have lower PPI ratings for motion and frame creation so the panels aren;t as smooth.

I haven;t seen the specs on the 6203 but I have seen the 6503

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

Yeah it took me a while to find specs on it, I'm not going for it, I did like the idea that it had a VA Panel and it was direct lit.. Ah well, I'm edging back towards the Samsung 7020/21..

Also hijacking this thread (sorry), but looking around this budget for a 4K TV (55") as I just got an Xbox One X. Is it possible to get the 60hz refresh rate for gaming in this budget? If not, would you recommend anything? Currently have a Samsung TV 1080p which has been great for years. Philips, LG, Sony would be open to those brands too.
    Hey Fifth.

It might be hard to get a 60Hz panel within the 500-700 Euro budget. There is nothing that we stock that I could offer.

The starting point for a 100hz you would be up around the 950 Euro mark for one of the Sony 55xf8505

Starting point for a 55" would be the LG 55UK6400PLa priced at 549 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203304-lg-55uk6400plf-55-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-tv-freeview-play.aspx

Next up would be the Hisense 55A6200 priced at 579 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203449-hisense-55a6200-55-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-tv-freeview-play.aspx

Philips 55PUS6703 priced at 669 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203603-philips-55pus6703-55-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-tv-ambilight-freeview-play.aspx

LG also have their 55UK6750 priced at 699 euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203295-lg-55uk6750pld-55-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-tv-freeview-play.aspx

Let me know if any of the above might suit.
Hi Kenny, thanks for this. The Philips looks interesting. What would it be like for gaming? My main reason for using it. Also, will you be doing black friday offers (or are they already on?)

    Hi Fifth.

The Philips and the LG 6750 would be the better for gaming.

One of my colleagues has the Philips in a smaller size and has no really issues while gaming.

A lot of our Black Friday pricing has already went live on our website and we are also offering our price promise on items purchased before Black Friday, should our price lower for the event you can call us and if there is any difference in price we can issue a refund for the difference back to you.

Cool, i would need to check that I can fit the tv on a stand, feet look far apart. Do you think you will get any of the 7000 series philips in? The 7303 caught my eye online, looks the business. Really like the ambilight feature on these tvs.

    Hi Fifth.

No plans on the 7 series Philips at the moment to be honest.

Only the 6703 range mentioned above :)

Been back and forth on that 6703, do you still have one left? I have seen its price drop to £675 a couple of times on the likes of amazon/ao/costco recently, which would be the sweet spot price wise.. will you be getting more in? Or replacing it with a different model?

Also, if i was buying a TV from you could I pay in sterling to get the better exchange rate (ROI customer) ,(i know theres a delivery fee.)

    Hi Fifth.

If you can send me some of the links to the cheaper pricing I can check them for price beat.
It must be a like for like deal including 5 or 6 year warranty and INCLUDE delivery to you if it can not be collected locally.

I know the likes of Amazon only offer a 1 year.
Costco make you pay to shop on there website and need to have a member ship number.
I'm pretty sure AO only offer a 1 year warranty also.

I'm not sure on their delivery charges to the South of Ireland.

The 55PUS6703 is still current and there is plenty of stock priced at £529 + £6.99 or 649 Euro. This make us far cheaper than the £675 sterling price you mention above.

Sorry Kenny I was talking about the 65" model, I should have mentioned. Fair enough on the other sites, I don't think I could find any site offering a 6 year warranty.

This was where I saw it (now out of stock, but it's been back in and out of stock twice in the past 2 weeks)
    https://ao.com/product/65pus6753-philips-6753-tv-silver-57648-108.aspx?WT.srch=1&WT.z_MT=drytinder&WT.z_RTM=PHG&WT.z_CN=304092&WT.z_AG=Forum&WT.z_AT=&WT.z_KW=drytinder

Actually that one is the 6753 but the amazon tracker might be a better example https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Philips-65PUS6753-12-Freeview-Ambilight/product/B07C9GQ5P4

edit: That's also the 6753. Nevermind me so :o

    Hey Fifth.

The 6753 is not one that we stock unfortunately.

Its the 6703 that is available to us.

The 65PUS6703 is totally out of stock both at the warehouse and here at the Belfast store.
We are actively chasing an ETA on fresh stock of these.

They flew out the door the last time there was stock.
