Closing account

    I wish to give notice to close my broadband account,I understand you need 30 days notice but you have no phone support today.
    On line chat did not seem to be aware that today is a bank holiday.
    Broadband is good but I have better options than 78 euro with you.

    Hi, I doubt that Eir reps can cancel your account here.

    I'm pretty sure you will have to call 1800 504 110 tomorrow and place your 30 days notice then.

    On hold for 19 minutes and the phone went dead.

    e mail from my eir account is not working.

    Is there any other way to cancel account.

    Hi Sarah,

    The phone was finally answered at the third attempt.

    1st on hold for 19 minutes and then cut off.
    2nd on hold for 33 minutes and gave up.
    3rd on hold for about 15 minutes and it was answered.

    I then had to endure a sales pitch, which is not something you
    would be amenable to after being on hold for over an hour.

    Finally a code sent to my phone which I had to enter to an email
    sent from your cancellation department, Just to give the 30 day notice.

    I have to say your customer service is on par with Ryanair and Sky.
