    That appears to be more complicated (expensive) than you need as it is a controller as well as display unit.

    How is the temperature currently being controlled?

    Do you need it to alarm if the temp goes outside of a range?

    edit: you could try extending the cable on this?

    Main components:
    1) PT100 - most people use a 3 wire version
    2) Temp transmitter. Use a good one such as Rosemount to avoid drift.
    3) 4 to 20mA loop powered display such as a Beka.

    Simple enough.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Wont need any alarming, there is no heating or cooling to the tank, it will be used for trending and tracibility going forward to standardise the process, the probe itself will need to be stainless and at least 150mm long.

    Okay, it seems then you need a data logger instead of a controller.

    A probe that short suggests a very small tank. Normally the proble would be installed in a thermowell.

    ABB make the best pt100 or hockey puck if you will, imo.
