I use the in wifi the local like most people. This might sound like a wind up but I swear to death it's not. Lately the only website I can connect to is boards. There is about 10 websites I use daily and none of them will connect. I get the old "connection error/ offline" message. I always assumed wifi works or it doesn't surely it isn't selective.

Yeah so the Gardai can arrive down when a punter looks up child porn?

Its normal for businesses to apply some restrictions to clientele wifi.

DeVore is one of the original creators of boards. It might be his pub you’re in. :pac:

It works 1 day not the next, works at 4pm but not at 4.30. I doubt rte.ie, bbc.co.uk and various sports sites would be on this publicans watch list. It's a small pub in a smallish town.

It is pretty bad but honestly and I'm sure I'll cop it for this boards.ie has never once failed to open. 20 different sites "offline". boards.ie straight on. As much as I like boards I do have other things I like to read online. It still makes no sense as to why 1 website can open and no others will.

Well they're not paying enough cause the poor f***** can't afford decent wifi. I knew I started this thread at the wrong time of the day:p

    Did you ask them?

WiFi can be selective. They can block or allow any sites they want to. It's their WiFi.

Use a free VPN or Windscribe with free 10GB per month and you should be able to view whatever you want.
