Electricians Bill? Am I being ripped off?

How much is a reasonable amount to pay to have a Carbon Monoxide Alarm supplied and fitted and two new batteries supplied and fitted to existing smoke alarms. I’ve been charged €225. Just wondering if I’ve been ripped off??

Well look, the first mistake you made was getting an estate agent to lease the property because as you have found out, they are pretty much useless. So their fee was the first rip off you endured.

But at least they are looking after your interests, albeit you are paying for it. If there was a CO leak and the occupants died, at least now you have yourself covered that the alarms were there and fitted by a qualified electrician no less and not Pavlov the handyman.

Welcome to being a landlord, at least you can set the invoice against your 50% tax bill come October 31st next year!!
